Just a quick post to say that I saw a northern flicker plus the usual suspects in my yard today. I'm off to bed now, so I'm afraid there will be no pictures tonight.
Spencer, I love the pictures, especially because so many of your pics are of birds I particularly like to watch. We live on the edge of woods and feed the birds. Our visitors are chicadees, titmouses, and nuthatches. I've read somewhere that nuthatches are the only bird that walk down a tree trunk, head first. The blue on their wings is multiple in hue. The real reason I wanted to send a comment, for several springs we have a little wren make a nest in our gutter bend under the eave of the house. She is my favorite bird because of her jaunty tail. I have noticed one thing about her, she does not feed from a hanging feeder; she prefers flat surfaces. Her favorite seed is flax, rather than the sunflower seed. Thanks for the pictures -- vivid birdlife in still-life. Jeb
Great pictures! Spencer. Especially the Pileated. One weird looking bird. Dick
